Purpose
Here at DraftWise, Inc. (“DraftWise” or “we”), we greatly appreciate the trust that our customers place in our products and our employees and take our responsibilities to privacy and security seriously. We are committed to protecting all data under our responsibility as well as complying with data protection legislation in the various jurisdictions where our customers operate. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect to power our tools, how we use that information and what protections our customers and users have.

Scope
This Policy affects all employees, contractors, consultants, vendors and other services providers currently working at DraftWise and who handle, manage, store or transmit DraftWise data. The company’s executive team is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Policy and for completing actions prescribed by the Policy.
Our Privacy Policy is defined in its entirety by this document, as well as the related policies for Information Security, Data Classification, Access Control, Data Retention and Business Continuity.

Policy

Introduction
Our mission is to help the modern law firm become better by putting the right tools and knowledge in the hands of every lawyer, thereby improving the quality of written contracts and reducing exposure risk across a firm’s client portfolio. To do this, we work closely with you through access to your firm’s employees, information systems and proprietary content. Our products are typically deployed behind a customer’s firewall on servers managed by the customer’s information technology department. As a result, DraftWise processes minimal company information within its own systems and processes no personal data. We do not sell any data within our control and responsibility. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect during the course of business and how we use, protect, and disclose that information.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected on any third-party web site or application (including advertising) that may link or be accessible from our website or communications. It does not apply to information collected by Microsoft through their product Microsoft Word, through which our service operates as an installable add-in application, or any member of the Microsoft Office suite of tools. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or data collection, use and disclosure practices of those tools. We would encourage you to review their respective privacy policies prior to use and at regular intervals.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using any of our services, you are agreeing to this Privacy Policy. This Policy may change from time to time as we expand or change our products and services so please refer to the Privacy Policy periodically for updates.

How do we use the information we collect?
We use information we collect from the website to provide you with the  best services possible, communicate with you, manage and remember your preferences and customize our services, analyze and improve our services and product, improve our advertising and marketing, verify your identity; facilitate your transactions with our third-party marketing partners.

We may combine information that we collect from you through our website with information that we obtain from other sources. We may also aggregate and/or de-identify information collected through our services and website. We may use aggregated data for any purpose, including without limitation for research and marketing purposes.

Tracking Technologies and Advertising

Your preferred browser application likely can change settings to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are present. If you disable or refuse cookies on websites, products or services operated by DraftWise, please note that some parts of the site may then be inaccessible or not function properly. In relation to email, you can disable most email tracking technology by preventing the loading of embedded pictures in the email. You can do this using your email software settings.

Data Integrity and Proportionality
We only collect and retain as much information as needed for specific, identified purposes described in this Privacy Policy and we will not use it in any way that is incompatible with those purposes.

What are your rights and how can you exercise them?
You may have a right to access and to obtain a copy of your data as processed by DraftWise. If you believe that any information we hold about you is incorrect or incomplete, you may request the correction of your personal data. You may also have the right to:

- Object to the processing of your data

- Request the erasure of your data

- Request restriction on the processing of your data; and/or

- Withdraw your consent where DraftWise obtained your consent to process data (without this withdrawal affecting the lawfulness of any processing that took place prior to the withdrawal).

We will honor such requests, withdrawal or objection as required under applicable data protection rules but these rights are not absolute. They do not always apply and exemptions exist and may be engaged. We will usually, in response to a request, ask you to verify your identify and/or provide additional information to assist us in better understanding your request.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to make a complaint to the data protection authority in the jurisdiction where you live or work, or in the place where you think an issue in relation to your data has arisen.

Security
We take your security seriously and take reasonable steps to protect and secure all company information from unauthorised access, use, and disclosure. We have implemented adequate technical and organizational measures to protect such data against unauthorized, accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, misuse, disclosure or access and against all other unlawful forms of processing. These security measures have been implemented taking into account the state of the art of the technology, their cost of implementation, the risks presented by the processing and the nature of the personal data, with particular care for sensitive data.

Safety and security of your information also depends on your actions. If we have provided a password or other account credential information in order for you to access our websites, products, or services, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. Please do not share your account credentials with anyone.

Children under the Age of 13
Our websites, products and services are not intended for children under the age of 13. If you become aware that your child or any child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@draftwise.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
